Bio

I am Lambros Pyrgos, and I write under the pen name "Lambros Tower". "Pyrgos" translates to "Tower" in English, and "Lambros" derives from the Greek word "λαμπρός", which translates to "bright". I was born in the city of Paphos in 2005, the second-smallest city on the already minuscule island of Cyprus, and as of writing this, I am a student pursuing my bachelor's degree in Business and Digital Business. I got into writing through a writing contest my high school brought to our attention, and I was willing to put in the effort to participate because I wanted to improve my grades. Unfortunately, I didn't make the deadline, but I discovered my passion for creating and writing fiction. A passion so great, I decided to put my all into trying to make it into a career!

Since I was little, I loved spending my time reading fiction, and I am currently on a long journey to read the most innovative, famous, infamous, and popular novels whose authors or characters not only keep on surviving the test of time, but have shaped the worlds of fiction and literature forever (LOTR, Don Quixote, Dante's Divine Comedy, Shakespeare's works, Greek/Egyptian/Norse/Japanese Mythology, the original works which introduce popular characters such as Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, etc.), to try and figure out what makes a story or a character stand out above the rest. However, there is a certain category of novels I love above the rest. They are the books that inspire my style of writing, and these are the novels that use the literary technique of allegory (Dante’s Divine Comedy, Ancient Mythology, Aesop’s fables, etc.) I love reading between the lines and discovering hidden meanings the author left behind, whether from their past, experiences, values, or opinions. Sometimes, of course, I find myself disagreeing with what they are trying to imply, but I always find it fascinating to learn about the person behind the novel from their fictional stories. My novels contain allegory, but I take extra care not to make it too direct or overwhelming, so readers can choose their own experience and be able to enjoy a simple story rather than trying to find and decode hidden meanings, if that's what they wish.
